What’s the reason for a delay?
China’s market regulator said on Friday that BYD plans to recall 44,535 Tang series vehicles manufactured between March 2015 and July 2017Functional problems can occur due to a malfunction in the design of some components in these trains.In addition, 71,248 Yuan Pro electric vehicles manufactured between February 2021 and August 2022 have also been recalled.There are manufacturing problems related to battery installation.
They have already been recalled
This is not the first time BYD has had to recall its vehicles.In January 2025, the company recalled 6,843 Fengchengbao Bao 5 plug-in hybrid SUVs due to the risk of fire.In addition, 97,000 dolphins and Yuan Plus electric vehicles were also recalled in September 2024 due to a malfunction in the steering control unit.These defects also posed a risk of fire.
