The IOA has announced that it will award monetary prizes to Indian athletes who won their respective medals at the Asian Olympic Youth Games 2025 in Bahrain. It stated that winners of gold, silver, and bronze will get ₹5 lakh, ₹3 lakh, and ₹2 lakh, respectively.
Special rewards for teams and coaches too
Special prizes of ₹10 lakh each will be given to the gold medal-winning men and women Kabaddi teams, while an incentive of ₹50,000 each has been announced for the fourth-place finishers. Coaches of all medal-winning athletes will be given ₹1 lakh each.
India’s Strong Performance
India fared admirably at the Games, held between October 23 and 31, 2025, when it secured a total of 48 medals, including 13 gold, 18 silver, and 17 bronze. The performance saw India finish sixth in the overall standings.
India Shines in Boxing
India showed its power by winning the maximum gold medals in boxing, which was four; three gold medals were won in wrestling and two gold medals in kabaddi. This was the result of the players’ hard work, their fitness training, and above all the excellent guidance of the coaches.
Inspiration for the Players
Secretary General of Asian Chess Brahmachari Kuldeep Shatranj said that this is because of the hard work and continuous practice of the players. This step by IOA will further strengthen their morale.

Ultimately, this competition boasted 222 athletes: 119 women and 103 men who proudly carried the Tricolor Flag.
