Fake Govt Office in Haryana Cheats Villagers; Police Seize Vehicle

Haryana News: A fake government organization was unearthed on Thursday in Haryana’s Sirsa district. The organization, which worked under the name Samadhan Rural Welfare and Employment Service Limited, was claiming links with the Government of India. Police raided the office after a complaint, which led to the discovery of a massive fraud.

The whole setup was operating without registration.

Four female employees were found on the office premises during the raid, but no evidence regarding the registration of the organisation and its permission by the government was shown. According to the employees, the office was being headed by a person named Rammehar, a resident of Hisar, who introduced himself as a central government official.

A Bolero with a blue light was also seized.

A white Bolero was parked outside the office, with the words “Government of India” and “Chief Director” written on it. It also had a blue light. Police immediately seized it and sealed the office.

Duping of a government scheme for Rs. 1,100

The investigation has also brought to light the fact that Rammehar used to charge Rs. 1,100 from people seeking benefits under some government schemes of the Chief Minister’s Marriage Shagun Yojana and the Ladli Yojana. He used to move around in a Bolero vehicle painted like a government vehicle and posed as an officer.

No record found for the name of organization

The District Social Welfare Department clarified that no organisation with this name was registered on their list. Following this, police registered a case against Rammehar under sections 318(2) and 205 of the IPC.

They were rural women who had been lured by false promises of employment.

Investigation revealed that women in rural areas were lured with the promise of jobs similar to those at a CSC Center. They were supposed to fill out forms and prepare documents, while the entire office was running illegally.

Police investigation underway, main accused absconding

Police have sealed the spot, seized the Bolero vehicle, and are on the lookout for the prime accused, Rammehar. Social Welfare Officer Satyawan Dhilod said that the department has constituted an independent investigation team to probe the entire matter.
