The Government of Haryana has taken steps to ensure job security for about 1.25 lakh temporary employees in the state. The Human Resources Department has initiated an online portal through which the employees will be able to apply digitally for job security.
Initially, this will be implemented on a trial basis in two departments and then expanded to all government departments and corporations. The scheme will give new direction to employee stability and well-being.
Implementation of Last Year’s Announcement
The state government, through an announcement last year, has granted permanent job security to those employees who have completed five years of service under the Haryana Kaushal Rozgar Nigam Limited, HKRNL.
With the assent of the Governor, the said provision was duly passed by the Assembly and the Haryana Contract Employees (Service Security) Act, 2024, along with the Rules, 2025, was published in the Haryana Gazette dated August 5, 2025.
Online Application Portal to Launch Soon
The government has designed a single-window internet-based system to enable employees to apply by directly feeding their departmental data themselves, ensuring the process is more transparent and time-saving.
All departments have, in the meantime, been told to wait until the portal is up and running, and in that period, no fresh advice shall be sought from the Human Resource Department.
Relief and Transparency for Employees
The new online portal will make certain that employees do not face any complications regarding job security. The application procedure at all levels will be totally online, with no possibilities of delays or confusion. This step reinforces the state government’s policy of giving first priority to welfare policies for employees.
